Ranchi: Bottle worth Rs 150 sold for Rs 1700… used to serve local liquor to customers with branded tags, how was the liquor factory caught?

There was a stir in Renovo Seven Colony near Ormanjhi Block Chowk under Ormanjhi Police Station area of ​​Ranchi, Jharkhand when the Excise Department team reached there to conduct a raid based on secret information. The Excise Department team that reached there to conduct the raid was shocked to see the scene inside the mini liquor factory being run illegally.

 

In fact, in the Ormanjhi police station area of ​​Ranchi, local liquor was being sold at the local level by putting it in bottles of many different brands and putting stickers of branded liquor on it inside a mini liquor factory operating illegally. Along with this, this liquor was also being sent to the neighboring state of Bihar. During the raid, the team of the excise department seized wrappers, bottles, stickers of many branded companies from the mini liquor factory operating illegally, as well as 250 boxes of sealed foreign liquor, about 800 liters of colored liquor, about 200 bags of empty bottles, liquor packing machine, caps of many brands and other equipment from the liquor factory operating in a rented house in Rainbow Seven Colony.

All four accused are residents of Bihar

The accused used to put holograms of Jharkhand Excise Department on the bottles to make the fake liquor look real. The value of the seized liquor has been estimated to be around Rs 40 lakh. Along with this, the raiding team has also arrested liquor businessman Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Aurangabad district of Bihar, along with his three other associates. Abhishek Kumar and Akash Kumar both are residents of Aurangabad district of Bihar. The accused used to fill liquor in bottles of expensive branded companies in the mini liquor factory operated illegally through cars and many other vehicles and send it to Bihar at high prices. During the raid by the Excise Department team, it was also found that the accused had repackaged the bottles of expensive branded liquor of many companies by putting fake liquor inside them.

 

Expenses 100-150 rupees and price 1700

For this, the accused used to prepare foreign liquor by adding spirit and intoxicating drugs to coloured water. According to the information, it cost 100 to 150 rupees to prepare a bottle of branded liquor, which these people used to give to the supplier at almost double the price. Between 300 to 400, the suppliers used to easily sell these branded bottles filled with fake liquor for up to 900 rupees in many districts of Jharkhand including Ranchi, while the price of these branded liquor bottles used to become 1500 to 1700 rupees per bottle when they reached Bihar.

The four accused hailing from Bihar had prepared such a setup that even the excise department team was stunned to see it. After the discovery of the mini liquor factory and the arrest of four people, the excise department team is now trying to identify the rest of the suppliers associated with them and the accused involved in this type of liquor business and arrest them.
